1.What restaurant chain did Carl Karcher start?
-Carl Karcher started the drive through barbeque chain.



2.What was the "Speedee Service System" and how was it different from what other fast food restaurants were doing?
-The speedee service system was the start of the McDonalds coorporation installing new, bigger grills and having a line of people performing one task over and over. One person would grill the burger, the next would 'dress' and wrap it, another would make the fries, another would make the milkshake, and the next worked the counter. It was different from other fast food places because at other places, the cars would park, and someone would come over and take their order. Then the person would go make the food and bring it back out.



3.What were some of the other fast food restaurants that were inspired by McDonald's approach to food service?
-Other fast food restaurants that were inspired by McDonalds approach to fast food service was burger king, wendys and arbys.
